Homemade Honey Lemon Cough Syrup

We all know that as soon as the cold weather strikes, so do sore throats and nasty coughs. Luckily, there is a perfect solution: Natural Honey Lemon Cough Syrup.

How To:

- 1 lemon
- Fresh ginger, grated (however much you want really) (substitute: dried ginger powder)
- local honey
- canning jar

1. Cut up your lemon in slices across and then half those slices. Make sure to take out the seeds!
2. Grate the ginger.
3. Put half of your lemon and half of the ginger in the jar. Pour honey over and mix contents.
4. Repeat with remaining half.
5. Voila! It will turn to a syrup consistency within a few hours. Make sure to store in a fridge.

You can add this mixture to teas, water, or pretty much anything else. You can even have it by the spoonful! Lemon, ginger, and honey will work wonders to soothe a sore throat or keep back pesky coughs. Also, locally grown honey will help you build up resistance to allergies.

Hope this helps! I've got mine all made up for when I know I'll need it. Blessed be.
